Certificate

On completion of the training program, the student will be awarded:

→ A Certificate of Quay and Sea Trials, issued by Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore.

The Certificate of Quay and Sea Trials is obtained after completing the course and passing the online test.

Presentation

This training course provides basic knowledge about the tests to be performed by the shipbuilder to confirm that the ship and its equipment comply with the classification and statutory rules, flag state requirements and Owner’s specifications.

Whom the course is for

The course Quay and Sea Trials is aimed at anyone interested in understanding the scope and the objectives of the quay and sea trials to be performed prior ship delivery. This may include Ship Managers, Technical Superintendents, Ship Masters, Officers and Seafarers; Shipyards Technical Staff; Surveyors; Flag and Port State Officers; P&I and/or Insurance Inspectors; Naval Architects; Etc.

Objectives

On completion of the training, students will be able to:

  • Get familiar and understand the rules and regulations applicable for quay and sea trials.
  • Know the responsibilities of each player.
  • Know the tests required by the Classification Rules and by Statutory Regulations.
  • Understand the methods for checking the ship's capabilities under realistic service conditions.
